MAGNUM DYNALAB INTERNET MEDIA TUNERS

Being a long-standing leader in the world of high-end analogue FM tuners is no longer enough for our creative friends from Canada! Magnum Dynalab just launched the new Series 800 range of Internet Media Tuners which (in addition to FM, DAB and DAB+ as standard features within the main front end module in each model) puts all its strength into the best possible reproduction of thousands of Internet Radio broadcasting sources. All Internet Media Tuners can be connected to the Internet either via a network (Ethernet) cable or wireless. All models also have the facility to play back music files from an external hard drive or a memory stick connected to the USB port on the front panel. All models except the MD809 flagship (which has a large touch screen similar to the one on the MD109 flagship analogue FM tuner) have a 3.5-inch, colour touch screen and a remote control handset, which replicates all the screen functions.
Series 800 range presently consists of 4 models. Main differences are in the quality of the analogue stage circuits and associated power supplies. Further, the high-performance MD proprietary DAC module is standard on 2 best models (MD807 and MD809).
UK pricing for the new Magnum Dynalab Internet Media Tuners is: MD801 - £1,495 inc VAT; MD806 - £2,345 inc VAT; MD807T - £3,995 inc VAT and MD809T - £6, 745 inc VAT.

conrad-johnson ARTsa STEREO POWER AMPLIFIER

It was only a matter of time before conrad-johnson design were to treat us with a stereo incarnation of their majestic ART mono power amplifiers. Consequently, we have now the ARTsa. a single, 2-channel chassis providing 140W per channel of the very best valve sound at exactly 50% of the cost of the ART mono-blocks!!! First subjective impressions within several suitable audio systems are just as positive as they were from the more powerful ART. It is a real pleasure to say we now have a less costly solution 'cooked to perfection' for all those either not in need of 300W or so for each of their loudspeakers (or, never forgetting there is no such thing as "too much power"), or with somewhat lower budget for their ultimate power amplifier.
conrad-johnson ARTsa will start shipping in February and are available in the UK at the price of £18,500 inc VAT.

CARDAS AUDIO CLEAR POWER AND CLEAR BEYOND POWER CORDS

Only a few months after the introduction of the truly remarkable Clear M Power Cord, George Cardas has finalised the design of the two remaining members of the Clear power cord family. With the release of the CLEAR POWER (generally for medium to high power amplifiers) and CLEAR BEYOND (for very high power amplifiers/high current flow) , we now have all that is required for a perfect mains power feed into every single component of one's audio system. All Cardas Clear power cord for the UK market have (as standard) excellent Furutech mains plugs and IEC connectors. Standard 1.5m sets of the Clear POWER and BEYOND retail at £695 and £895 inc VAT respectively.

ROGUE AUDIO MEDUSA & HYDRA POWER AMPLIFIERS

Mark O'Brien's Rogue Audio continues to be at the very forefront of affordable valve electronics offering excellent sound "for the money", while (still) being designed and manufactured in the United States of America. Latest additions to the range of Rogue Audio amplifiers are an innovative detour from the usual concept. New stereo power amplifiers MEDUSA (200wpc/8 Ohm) and HYDRA (100wpc/8 Ohm) are the very first hybrid amplifier designs coming from this manufacturer. Both amplifiers feature a valve front end (driver stage) taking the audio signal into a high-powered output section designed around the best available Class D MOSFET devices. Delivering up to 500 watts (Medusa) and 250 watts (Hydra) per channel into a 4 Ohm load is a great achievement for an amplifier of such a high degree of musicality and natural dynamics.
Medusa (£3,995 inc VAT) and Hydra (£2,995 inc VAT) are shipping now and will be available from stock in a matter of weeks.
